The Benefits
Lactated Ringer’s (LR)
Lactated Ringer’s (LR) is an IV fluid containing electrolytes including sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, and lactate. It closely matches the body’s blood plasma and helps restore fluid and electrolyte balance.
During pregnancy, nausea, reduced intake, and fluid loss can make hydration harder to maintain. This balanced fluid base helps replenish electrolytes and supports comfort when the body needs gentle, steady rehydration.
Sodium Chloride 0.9%
Sodium Chloride 0.9% helps replenish fluids and electrolytes while supporting dehydration recovery. It provides a simple hydration base when fluid intake has been low or the body feels depleted.
For prenatal support, hydration is often the first priority. Restoring fluids can help the body feel more stable when nausea, fatigue, or reduced appetite make it difficult to stay ahead of hydration needs.
Pyridoxine / Vitamin B6
Pyridoxine, also known as Vitamin B6, helps improve nausea and morning sickness in pregnancy.
This is one of the key comfort-focused ingredients in our formula. It gives the infusion a more targeted role for clients dealing with nausea, low intake, or that drained feeling that can come with difficulty eating and hydrating.
Dosing is to be kept under 100mg per day.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 helps reduce fatigue and supports red blood cell production, nerve cell production, RNA and DNA support, energy, growth, cell reproduction, and nervous-system function. It also supports metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.
B12 is especially relevant here because the source copy connects it to methylation pathways, which are important during pregnancy. It helps support cellular function and energy when the body is under higher nutritional demand.
Folic Acid
Folic Acid supports fetal growth and development. During pregnancy, the body needs more folic acid than usual, and one of its most important roles is helping reduce the risk of neural tube defects, including spina bifida and anencephaly.
This ingredient is central to the prenatal formula because it supports development-focused nutrient pathways while pairing with B12 and B6 for a more complete vitamin profile.
Ondansetron
Ondansetron is a consult-required add-on used for nausea support. Add to bag or slowly push over 2 to 5 min.
Dose is determined by the provider, and requires a note from OBGYN and consult approval.
B-Plex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
B vitamins play a significant role in athletic performance. These micronutrients are necessary during the body process for converting proteins and sugars into energy and are used during the production and repair of cells, including red blood cells.
WARNING: patients can taste, bring a snack or gum.
